I really like their new album, it starts off really strong, track 2, Two Weeks is incredible, the middle section is good, and then track 10, While You Wait for the Others, will blow you away.

The Field
The Field are back. They released first in 2007 with From Here We Go Sublime, and it was incredible. Now they are releasing Yesterday and Today on the 25 May 2009. It has more of the sampling genius of its predecessor, but also guests, including Battles' drummer John Stanier. My first listen opinion...incredible./The Field

Woods
This band were recommended to us, and we were told that they would fit our night perfectly. So with this in mind, I headed over to their myspace to have a listen. And then last week I bought their new record Songs of Shame, and it is really good, and it does fit our night perfectly. They are part of the lo-fi scene that includes Wavves, Crystal Stilts, and Vivian Girls, and are on the Woodsist label.

Blank Dogs
This is one of our favourite bands at the moment, and they are playing at The Bodega on 17th May with Telepathe, Times New Viking, and Lovvers among others at Spex Fest. It is going to be a stunning all day event. And its only 12 quid.
